Why does sugar increase the effect of alcohol?!

Question: Why does sugar increase the effect of alcohol!?
Answers:
Does it!?

I'm not aware that sugar has any effect on how quickly the body reacts to alcohol!. I know it affects the drinker's blood sugar (a problem for diabetics) and I know that certain things like carbonation can increase absorption rates in the stomach!.

Do you have a source for this!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

When actually brewing beer it can!. Malt sugars are food for the yeast!. The biproduct (or I guess you could say the poo) of the yeast is alcohol, and carbon dioxide!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
