Answers:
Since Everclear is like 95% ethanol, you can probably get some pure ethanol and add whatever flavouring syrups you want!.

But if you're looking to really make your own alcohol, you have to know that ethanol is made by yeast and sugar!. So if you want grain (grain is not yet a sugar, but it can be converted) alcohol, you have to convert it by allowing the grain to germinate, or malt, which produces an enzyme, (amylase!.)

When the malted grain is mashed, the amylase converts the remaining starches into sugars!.

Then just add yeast (from your local grocery store, used for making bread) and close the lid, making sure that there is no oxygen getting in (alcohol production occurs without oxygen; anaerobic respiration of the yeast)!.

Try researching on alcohol fermentation!. Many websites teach you how to do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

At 95% ethanol, and a normal citizen, you don't!.

Yeah, sure, grain alcohol is fermented grains that are then distilled!. First, distilling is illegal, so you're stuck at fermented grains!. This amounts to an unflavored beer, you'll be lucky to push 7% ABV!. Even with normal distilling, once you get beyond 50% you risk a serious chance of fire!. 50% ethanol will catch fire, and burn as a liquid just like gas!.

Now, if you happen to work in a laboratory or a research university, they probably have 100% ethanol (200 proof)!. This is expensive stuff, since ethanol will grab water out of the air until it's between 95-96%!. It has to kept in a special way, to avoid that!. If you just pick it up and start using it, you'd pull water out of the air, and that would make it exactly the same as Everclear!. Good luck getting your hands on that, though!. You can't exactly walk away with something like that very easily!. Typically, it's stored in 5 gallon plastic barrels!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
