Tequila

Vodka is fairly flavorless to me, and while I like the smoothness, I also want flavor!. Don't get me wrong, a nice ice cold martini with some olives is great, but just a shot on the rocks!? That would be tequila for me!.

Mind you, I would only drink 100% agave tequila, and if I'm sipping a shot on the rocks, I would opt for an anejo tequila such as Don Julio, Herradura, Centinilla or maybe Cabo Wabo!.

The "burn" and the hangover that follows primarily comes from cheap tequila that isn't 100% agave (such as junk like regular Cuervo or Sauza)!. Those are about 51% real tequila mixed with grain alcohol and corn sweeteners!. Yuck!

A 100% agave anejo tequila can definitely be just as smooth, if not smoother, than vodka!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on the brand and where I am at the moment!. In general I prefer vodka (Grey Goose) as I've long thought colored alcohol to be evil!. However, there's a wonderful biker/metalhead bar up the road from my house that specializes in tequila!. My favorite thing to drink there is Tres Generaciones Gold tequila - no training wheels, please!. Not only does it "go" with the ambiance of the place in a strange way, it's actually a very nice tequila!. Better than Cabo, IMO!.
