Yep!.!.!.wondered this myself!. I have nooooo idea!. I guess it is a flaw that our society just hasn't quite figured out yet!. If you live in a big city, cabs are easy to come by!. But if you live in a smaller town like where I live, cabs are few and far between!. And sometimes, they just don't exist! So!.!.!.!.if you can't walk, the only other choice is to drive and hope you don't get caught!. Not the smartest thing to do, but I know people do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You need a government-issued photo ID; a passport will serve this purpose; you do not need a driver's licence (many states and provinces will issue "ID cards" which state "not a licence to drive" but are useful for proof of age issues!.
Bars have parking lots for people who drive to a bar!. Many times, people have a designated driver with them!.

1) a driver license is just a form of government-issued ID, which will prove age to the cashiers!.
2) the parking lots are for the people coming to buy their liquor (unless they walk, of course)!.!.!.we assume the general populace has more intelligence than to drink in either the parking lot or on the way home!.!.!.if they don't have enough self-control to not do so, there are other problems bigger than a siimple DUI!.
And in the vein of this simpleton question: if a tree falls in the woods!.!.!.and there is no one around to hear it!.!.!.does it make a sound!?
