Question: How many units would there be in 100 mls of 60 proof alcohol and how is it calculated!?
Answers:
60 proof is approx 30% vol!.

You multiply the vol by the amount of drink and divide by 1000!.

So 30 x 100 = 3000
And 3000/1000 = 3

3 unitsWww@FoodAQ@Com

60 proof is actually approximately 30% alcohol!. I assume that by units you mean standard alcohol units!. The most common standard units are 12 oz of beer (341ml) 5 oz of wine and 1!.5 oz of liquor!.(approx 44ml) This is standard liquor 40% alcohol or 80 proof!. So to calculate the standard units in 100 ml of 60 proof alcohol you would use the following equation!.

60/80 * 100/44 = 1!.7 approx!. 100 ml of 60 proof alcohol is then 1!.7 standard alcohol unitsWww@FoodAQ@Com

go to www!.drinkaware!.co!.uk and follow instructions!. units depend on whether you're male or female!.

I do know that one 25 ml measure of 40% whisky/bourbon/brandy is 1unit !. Men shouldn't drink more than 3 - 4 units daily and for women it's 2-3 units !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

3!.4 units if 60 proof UK
1 unit is 1 litre of 1% alcohol
4% beer 250ml (half pint) is 1 unit
40% spirit 25ml measure is 1 unitWww@FoodAQ@Com

I think it would be 60 units!.
60 proof is 60% alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
