I make mojitos Havana style (lived in Miami for a few years for college)!.!. with muddled mint, limes, ice, light rum and club soda!.!.!. but I've always used grain white sugar and sometimes brown!.!.!. some recipes call for using simple syrup though!. I want to give that stuff a shot because it seems easier to mix in!. Now is that something I can buy or do I have to make it somehow!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Simple syrup is easy to make!. It's just sugar and water that's been cooked!.

Use 1 part sugar to 1 part water in a saucepan and heat until the sugar is disolved and begins to bubble, but not yet brown, 5 - 10 minutes!.

You can make a large batch and refrigerate what you don't use, as well!. It's used in many cocktail recipes, some people even sweeten their tea with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
