What is the purpose of plunging coffee in a plunger???!

Question: What is the purpose of plunging coffee in a plunger!?!?!?
Answers:
A French Press is often times called a coffee plunger or cafetière!. It produces a stronger coffee than other coffee *makers*!. The coffee grounds remain in direct contact with the water!. The grounds are filtered from the water by a mesh instead of a paper filter so coffee brewed with the French press captures more of the coffee's flavor and essential oils, hence a benefit of the press/plunger over a drip!. ;-) It does not capture caffeine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it defuses the stronger taste, and caffeine out of the grounds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
