Whats an 8th of vodka/?!

A fifth is 1/5 of a gallon, or 750 ml!. It really should be 757ml, but they round it down because we like things that end in zero, I suppose!.
An "eight" would be 473ml, which really doesn't equate to anything!. Most liquor bottles come in 50ml, 200ml, 375ml (a "tenth", I suppose), 500ml, 750ml, 1000ml and 1750ml!.
50mls are the little cordial bottles, the kind they give you on airplanes!.
200mls are odd, usually found in sampler sets of liquor or small wine bottles (icewines, for example)
375mls are half-bottles!. Lots of things come in half-size!.
500mls are rare, I only know of a few wines that come in half-liters!.
700mls and 750s are the standard liquor bottle size and 750s are wine size!. I've only ever seen 700mls in European whiskies!.

What we think of as a regular bottle of Scotch, gin, vodka, etc!. used to be called a 5th, but I've never heard of an 8th!. Now they are 750 ML!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
