Should the sale and consumption of alcohol – the world’s favourite drug – be further restricted or banned?!
In almost every country, people consume unrestricted amounts of alcohol!. Alcohol is a mind altering drug!. However, it is not as bad as other illegal drugs!. Society deserves freedom, but needs to be protected!. Alcohol can be very addictive!. It is a huge contributor to crimes too!. What do you think!? Should alcohol be further restricted, banned, or left alone!? I'm curious how others view this!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In other parts of the wrorld, lets say Europe, most people do not buse alcohol, sure they drink the stuff all the time, they just do not act like Americans and get plastered everytime they get a chance!. It is funny, at 18, by law you are considered an adult in America!. You can vote, you can fight and posibly die for your country, but you cannot drink a beer!. Hmmmmmm, I think the problem is not with the alcohol but the mentality and upbringing of youth today!. When I was young, I drank beer with men after doing a day of mans work!. I did not abuse it, because I did not need to, I understood responsibility, not many people think about consequences of their decisions today!. Don't ban alcohol, that was tried in prohibition and look what happened!. Why does everyone want to ban something because something happened, sheesh!!! I got an idea, lets ban politicians for the shithole they created!. Can you imagine Donald Trump as President!? Congress YOUR FIRED!!! LOL Hell, speaking of mind alterring drugs, that should include wedding cake, because once a woman eats it, she is changed forever!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The Prohibition period in America proved that outlawing alcohol will do nothing to curb consumption!. In fact, it promoted more irresponsible consumption, not to mention the beginnings of organized crime!.
If MADD has their way, America will again be in Prohibition period!. Don't believe the statistics about "alcohol-related" crashes that the government puts out either!. The words are twisted!.
If anybody in a vehicle even has the slightest bit of alcohol in their blood in a fatal car accident (driver, passenger, pedestrian, etc!.), it is considered an "alcohol-related" crash even though alcohol may have played absolutely no part in the accident!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Good question, but no easy answer!. Here in The U!.K!. it is as bad as other drugs, ( If not worse)!. Take the resulting crimes of drunken driving, assaults, public disorder offences, thefts etc, all resulting from the consumption or the need to consume alcohol!. There are numerous problems now!. The smoking ban has forced the public onto the streets!. Extended hours encourage consumers to drink longer!. Pricing has made drinking expensive, and where consumption used to be more of a social event, because it`s only affordable a couple of nights a weeks, it is now a special occassion!. This coupled with the extended hours, has, as we`re all aware, led to the unacceptable level of binge drinking!. How we now regulate it further still, I personally don`t think we can!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I agree with you it should be restricted, but you know what happens then, the black market makes out!. I say they should tax the hell out of it!. In Massachusetts they don't even tax it yet they have a $2 or $3 tax on cigarettes!? It just doesn't make sense!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
