What whiskey could possibly be better than The Glenlivet?!
Answers:
I think that Knob Creek, or Woodford Reserve are very good bourbon whiskey's!. The Glenlivet is great scotch, Johnny Walker Blue Label is probably better than The Glenlivet, in my opinion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The first time I had a 15 year old Black Maple Hill bourbon I asked, "What could possible be better than this!?"
Then I had a 15 year old Pappy Van Winkle bourbon and asked, "What could possibly be better than this!?"
Then I had a 20 year old Pappy Van Winkle and asked, "What could be better than this!?"
Then I had an 18 year old Macallan and was certain that there was no finer whisky!. Until I had a 17 year old Mannochmore from Signatory and was convinced that was the best!.
But really, the best whiskey I've ever had was the one I was sharing with friends who also enjoyed whiskey!. I'll take a Jack Daniels with friends over the finest Scottish single malt by myself any day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My absolute favorites are Glenfarclas Ardbeg and Springbank, and even among Speys I'll go Balvenie over most Glenlivets!. Not that I don't love the stuff!.
Outside of Scotland, there are some great Irish whiskies and Bourbons and I'm even fond of a few Japanese whiskies!.

I am from the USA, but I have relatives in England!. When we visited, nearly everyone had a private stash of scotch that was brought out and enjoyed by all!. Glenlievet was one of those, and was most memorable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Ardbeg, it's a bit of an acquired taste and is a bit more expensive than some others!.
That would be my recommendation though!.
Ignore the American "Whisky" or bourbon, whatever they are calling it!.
Go Scottish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
