Why do some people gag when they first drink alcohol?!

It's normal to gag!.!.!. It's a strong, foreign substance that your body isn't used to!. Nothing we drink during our childhood tastes like booze, so it's like a totally new thing!.
Question is, why do want to get used to it!? I know this will sound stupid, but if your body doesn't like the alcohol, maybe you shouldn't drink it!. I know it seems like the thing to do when you're a teenager, but if it makes you sick, maybe you shouldn't drink it!.
Anyway, a lot of people grow out of it even if they don't force themselves to drink!. Like years later they try drinking a glass of wine and they're fine!. But I'd say trust your body!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
