recent studies have shown not a significant difference in the benefits of white or red wine!. Some purist still try to promote the benefits of only red wine, but scientist are finding that the difference is insignificant!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Red Wine contains a lot of antioxidants in the "flavonoids!." This is true of many deep coloured foods including tomatoes, beets, etc!.!. These antioxidants are beneficial in preventing cancer and aging!.
However, as far as heart health, many alcoholic beverages including beer and some spirits have been found beneficial suggesting that it is actually the alcohol that is good for your heart!. So, white wine would be as equally heart healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on the wine, where it is from, and what you are drinking it with!.
German and some French whites are very good, age worthy, and highly valued!. In Italy, whites are a little less serious, while California Chard is just plain over priced!.
White wine consumption has been shown to have roughly the same health benefits as red!. Some people say its the tannins that make for good health, but if that were true tea drinkers would be showing the same benefits (tea has lots of tannins too)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Generally it's the red wine that is "prescribed"!. However, some people don't like the taste of red wine!. It can be a bit strong, and have a "bite" to it, that the white doesn't have!.
I would just continue drinking the white, if it's what you prefer!. As one respondent said, it's the alcohol, not the "drink"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
