When someone orders whiskey sour!

Question: When someone orders whiskey sour
does that mean that they want the sour mash type of whiskey like jim beam instead of a whiskey like black velvet or other canadian whiskeys!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
NO!. When they order a whiskey sour it can be any type of whiskey but the sour is sweet & sour that is used in many drinks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A whisky sour is a specific type of cocktail containing whisky, lemon juice and a little sugar!.

The type of whisky used should depend on the region you are in I would say!. In the US, you should probably use a blended bourbon!. In Canada, you would use rye whisky!. Presumably in the UK you would use scotch, but it should be a blended scotch, not a single-malt!.

Ask your guest / customer if they have any preference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
