My fiance is getting a gut/beer belly.!

Question: My fiance is getting a gut/beer belly!.
When I met my fiance he had muscles and was really toned!. We have been together for 3 1/2 years!. (We both did drugs for like a year and a half so he was really skinny) Now we are clean!. We now have a 17 month old and I still have baby weight, but I am working out!. His stomach is getting really big and I don't want to be mean to him about it bc it's better than he isn't on drugs but I've heard that gaining weight around your stomach isn't healthy for your organs either!. Any ideas on how I can get him to excercise or consider losing weight without being mean about it!? I feel bad for being superficial but he's only 27!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Beer + Stress + Getting older (change in metabolism) did the same thing to me, only a couple of years later (I was 29-30 when all the drinking and eating crap caught up to me)!.
It's really hard to shed the beer belly, but it can be done!.

I'd say try and join the gym together!. Say, "we need to join the gym or something!. Getting old sucks!"Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ease him into it!. Get him to start walking on a treadmill for 10 minutes a day!. Then ramp it up to 15 and then 20!. After that he should run/walk alternately!. After that run only!. If he eases into it there will be no big pain, he will feel better and he will look better!.
Oh, and he needs to lay off the beer!. If he had a drug abuse problem he will gravitate to the closest thing, alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Say honey why don't you come walking with me everyday because I'm scared to go by myself!. Or be like lets see who can lose weight the fastest!. Something to trick him into losing weight without even knowing it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe get that Wii gimic where it's a video game & you can excercise at the same time (baseball, etc!.!.!.)!. (let me know if it works then maybe I'll upgrade from my standard X-Box!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com
