Question: Let me ask a different way!.!.!. Proper wine glass!?
i am a server at a fine dining restaurant!. we use burgundy glasses for burgundy reds (pinot noir) and bordeaux glasses for bordeaux wines (cab/merlot blends)!. What is the proper style of wine glass for rhone wine blends (syrah/grenache wines)!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The Burgundy wine glass is used for drinking delicate red wines!. These wines are made from the Pinot Noir or Gamay grapes!.
The Bordeaux wine glass should be used when serving a more hearty and robust red like Cabernet or Merlot!.
Your blend of Syrah/Grenache is bold enough to use the Bordeaux glass!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Typically, the bottoms of the glasses for reds is broader!. The glass itself is kind of short and squat, with a wide mouth!.

The glasses used for white wines are a little taller, and more slender, with a smaller mouth!. Almost like a champagne flute, but not as narrow!.

It's hard to describe it accurately!. I can see it in my mind's eye, but you can't!. lolWww@FoodAQ@Com
