Buy Woodbridge Wine Get Discounted Beer?!

Question: Buy Woodbridge Wine Get Discounted Beer!?
At the grocery store the other day I noticed that Woodbridge is offering a $5 mail in rebate on any purchase of beer provided that you purchase two 750ml bottles of their wine or a single 1!.5 liter bottle!. I thought it was pretty cool but it raised some questions!.!.!.

Is Woodbridge affiliated with any brewery!?
Do the makers of Woodbridge openly advocate beer!?
Is this simply a "chicks and dudes" deal!?

Any other thoughts or comments are welcome!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Woodbridge is a secondary label of Mondavi which was acquired in 2004 by Constellation Brands!. Constellation (NYSE: STZ) also owns many Mexican beer labels including Corona and Modelo along with a couple European labels like St!. Pauli Girl!.

If the promotion was involved with one of those brands, it's obviously related to the parent company!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think your best bet is that it is just a deal set up by liquor distributor and not so much any individual wine or beer company!. It depends on if you're actually mailing the rebate to Woodbridge, or to some Wine/Beer/Spirits distribution company!. That way, if you shop at a store enough and you buy that wine, then there's a good chance you're going to buy beer there to, or at least at another local store that is supplied by the same distributor!. Sounds like a great chick&dude deal to me!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I do not think that Woodbrige-Mondavi owns any part of a brewery!.
It just may be the chick-dude thing!.

Perhaps they hope to convience a guy to buy for the coupon and then try the wine!. They may be thinking he/she will be hooked on their wine!.

Maybe it is just to boost their sales!. Since they want to be a top saller of wines the beer is of onlt little concern to them!.

What!? Corona ia a Grupo Modelo brand which is owned 50!.2% by A-B which is now owned by InBev!.
Okay it is just a marketing/distribution relationship!.

It seems as though they're just trying to get those who were planning on buying beer to buy some wine along with it!.

That's my take, anyway!. I don't think it's for the people who were already going to buy some Woodbridge wine, or necessarily wine in general!.

Very interesting marketing tactic!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Any deal where I buy some alcohol and get cash off for more alcohol is cool by me!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
