Merlot suggestions any ideas!
I have a bottle of it and i don't care for the taste - is there ANYTHING i can do to help it along!? Maybe some kind of spritzers using it- suggestions please!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i try to use up what i don't care to drink in a nice recipe!. i actually cook up a really nice spaghetti sauce with merlot!.!.!. or you could always grab some ice and some lemon-lime soda and drink it down fast that way :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
You could mix it with a white to make a blush wine, but you can only go so far with it!. A sweet white would probably give you the best results!.
You can refrigerate it, which will close down a lot of the heavy fruit flavors and bring out some sweetness!.
You can add a small amount of sugar or louche sugar into it (pour water over a sugar cube and strain it)!.

Use it to make a Sangria!. Add in some lemon slices, orange slices and lime slices!. A little bit of pineapple juice (and chunks of pineapple of course) would help to sweeten it up!. Put it in the fridge and let it sit in the pitcher for a while!. It will get nice and cold, and give the fruit a chance to to sweeten the wine a little!. Some people even add vodka to the Sangria, to give it a little extra punch!.
If the idea of a Sangria doesn't appeal to you, you could just use it to make Beef Burgundy!. Granted, it calls for Burgundy wine, but Merlot works just fine!. I've done it many times when I didn't have any Burgundy in the house and I didn't feel like making *one more trip* to the store!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
