What is the best rum to make a mojito?!

Question: What is the best rum to make a mojito!?
Answers:
Oronoco Rum!.

Oronoco Brazilian rum is made from sugar cane grown on the lush mountain slopes of Nova Friburgo!. Triple distilled in copper pot stills, resting in wood casks rounds out its smooth finish!.

Corvato,
Captain Morgan is a spiced rum, but then you say not to use one!.

Actually, I would use bacardi mojito rum because it comes premaid!. you still have to add the soda, but it has the lime and mint taste!. If you prefer more lime then add another lime wedge when you finish your drink and if you want it to be sweeter then add a little more sugar while you are making it!. Bacardi, in my opinion, is the best rum to make mojitos with because you don't want a cheap rum!. The reason being you will be able to taste the rum in this drink more than others because the mint and lime and sugar just add a slight flavor!. When you make rum and cokes, coke is the dominating taste so you don't need to use as much of a quality liquor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

honestly, the sugar/mint/limes are fairly overpowering to the rum, so you can use cheeper rum without a big hit on flavor!.

Personally I would recommend Bacardi or Captain Morgan, they are more mid-range rums!. If you really want to be blown away, you could try the 151 stuff, but be careful, that stuff will knock your socks off!

I wouldn't recommend spiced rum, you want either a fun flavor (mango mojitos are fun!) or a more neutral flavor!.

Captain morgan makes both spiced and their flavored "parrot bay" which is unspiced and flavored, and which as i said flavored can be fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Personally I like Bacardi Limon!. The taste mixes well with the lime and the mint!. Very pleasant!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
