What is the best kind of gin to get for an open bar for a backyard wedding?!
We don't want to get anything super-cheap, but also don't think we need top shelf!. Neither of us are gin drinkers and have no clue what kind to get!.

Beefeater and Gordons are considered the stock British gin for gin+tonic and martinis!. Any gin drinkers at your wedding are going to be perfectly happy swirling either in their glasses!.
Tanqueray is probably more uppershelf as is Bombay Sapphire, so if you have gin lovers in the immediate family of either bride or groom, the extra cash might be worth it!.
Every gin drinker I know would drink Beefeaters or Gordons without complaint, though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Plymouth is the ultimate mixing gin!. It's great in everything from a gin and tonic to a Pegu Club!.
But as far as what most people would expext (and I assume the only gin drink there would be a G&T) would be Tanqueray!. I think it makes the best G&T, that or Hendrick's!.
I would go with Tanqueray, it is popular and well liked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I highly recommend Plymouth!.
Less bite than traditional London Dry gins (think Beefeater, Tanqueray), nice and crisp and goes well with a variety of mixers!.!.!.
Plus a nice looking bottle
