I just turned 21 today, I want to make some mixed drinks.. What's the best liqour to buy around 80 proof?!

Get some rum!. It can be consumed straight or mixed with nearly anything!. A lot of people like vodka, but vodka doesn't go well with coke (which is the most popular mixer)!.
However, if it's your 21st, I recommend going to a high-end liquor store and getting a 21yo single malt scotch!. Glenfarclas 21, Glenlivet "Archive", and Glenfiddich Gran Reserve are all good, fairly economical choices!. There's also apparently a 21-year-old rum available, which I've never tried!. But in any case, if you do get something that aged, drink it neat (no ice, no water, no mixers) and at room temperature to best enjoy the flavor!.
