Vodka or bacardi, are they fattening?!
Drinking vodka or Bacardi rather than lager, is it healthier to drink spirits(in moderation) rather than lager!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Yes - as long as it's in moderation and you have a low-sugar mixer with it!. Beer, lager and wine have a lot of sugars in!.
Vodka and barcadi don't!. As a rule clear spirits are the best, dark spirits such as whisky or brandy also have some sugar in!.
Sweet liqueurs tend to be the worst, not only do they have a lot of sugar in they often have other alcohols in that give you terrible hangovers!.
There is research about red wine being better for you but it's been shown that it applies to any alcoholic drink!.

Not sure if this will help but I know that vodka, whiskey and brandy are 1 point on weightwatchers diet - so you can have vodka and diet coke and it is only 1 point!.Lager is 3 points per pint!. Dark spirits contactn more calories than clear ones and alchopops (vodka based) are 2!.5 points I think!
