Where should I keep my cigars? I don't want to buy a humidifier.?!
I live in Miami and keep my A/C constantly running @ 72 F!. Should I put them in the fridge, in my wine cooler or in a plain drawer!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

now if you really do not want to buy a humidor i guess it is fine but they are highly recomended!. your temp in your house is okay as Long as it stays their but any hotter would not be good as then it becomes good temp for the weevil beetle to hatch if any of your cigars are infected!. what is really recommended for cigars is 70 degrees and 70% relative humidity!. 1 or 2 degrees of either way is fine but this is why you really need a humidor so that you can keep that humidity!. but once again the if you must then do not put them in the refrigeration as the cold air will dry them out beyond repair but as long as your temp stays around 70 degrees!. what you do is put all cigars in a Ziploc bag and then take a damp sponge and put it in another Ziploc bag and put the cigar bag in the sponge bag and do not let the cigars and sponge toch each other the two bags will act as a barrier!. if the temp does get to hot in your house then you will have to put them in the fridge but make sure that you seal the bags shut so the air does not make contact!. you can buy a simple humidor at a cigar shop for about 30 dollars which will tell you the humidity in it so they save a lot of hassle!. if you need to know how to prep a humidor just email me!. For short term storage, double bag them in ziplock type baggies!. Be VERY careful about placing a dampened sponge or paper towel in there as you will have no way of controlling the humidity - tobacco is hygroscopic and will continue to absorb moisture if left unchecked!. Your smokes will wind up soggy and eventually begin to bulge and split!.
Another method is to place them in a rubbermaid or Tupperware container along with a Dry Mistat tube that you can find in a cigar store!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would suggest the refrigerator in a brown paper bag!. You need to keep them in a cool dry place or else they will lose their flavor and aroma!. Or maybe in one of those cardboard cigar boxes in the fridge or in a closet that stays pretty cool!. I keep my in my coolest room in the house in the bottom drawer of my hutch in a cigar box, I think it's a Swisher Sweets box, (I like the flavored ones) and they always taste and smell fine when I smoke one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Rod L and Herfnerd are the only sense of reason on this question!. Listen to their advice!. As they said!.!.!.!. DO NOT PLACE IN REFRIGERATOR!. That is the worst place!. Before I had a humidor a simple tupperware container is what i used!. You can use the sponge to keep it moist, but if the cigars get wet then they will be ruined!. also it may become to humid in the box!. If you do use this method use distilled water if possible!. The best option is to visit your local tobacconist!. they will have a small jar that holds crystals and you put a poly-glycol solution in it to keep humidity in the 70% range!. should be under $10!.00 and last a long time!. DO NOT KEEP YOUR CIGARS IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!! Cigars must maintain humidity of around 70%!. A refrigerator is a DE-HUMIDIFICATION device!. If you put them in there, they will dry out!!! This is a huge myth, never put cigars in a refrigerator!.

You really should get a humidor, but the ziplock bag and damp rag trick can work for a while!. Don't use a refrigerator and don't keep them in a "dry place" you want them moist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
well i would keep them somewhere that there is a lot of humidity since they are supposed to be in a humidor!.
