Tips on drinking in moderation?!
I really do appreciate the taste of red wine, a good beer and even a whiskey on the rocks!. Problem is that I end up enjoying these too much!.
Now I don't want people saying there's nothing wrong with getting drunk, everything in moderation!. I do things I regret when I'm drunk!. So drunkedness is not an option for me anymore!.
I'd like to know what other people in similar situations have done in this instance to help then appreciate a drink or 2 without wanting more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's a tough one!. For me, it's all mindset!. My thirst for alcohol stems from being impatient!. If you are an impatient individual and you "want more, now, I can handle it" then you may want to ask yourself!.!.!.!. why!? Calm down, you have oceans of time!. Why not be cool and respected instead of going after the best buzz you can get before it's too late!. Good things come with time, so just take a step back and a deep breath!. Smile at the situation your in and go focus on some hot chick/guy!. Have fun that way!. Use your sobriety to be the coolest person there!. You will feel smarter and more mature than you old self/some people around you, and that should be fun in itself!. Give it a try!. Don't make it hard, MAKE IT FUN WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!. It works, and it's the best advice I can give!.
I used to control my drinking by smoking marijuana but I'm done with that as well!. Both these can lead to a serious problem later, especially with motivation!. The more used you get to drinking, the less fun it will become!. Peace!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Every one tolerates alcohol differently!. Someone who weighs 200lbs will be affected differently that someone at 100lbs!. We all enjoy a little buzz once in a while, but it sounds like you like it a little too much!. Be careful!. If you have a long day at work and feel the need to have a beer or two, that's fine but don't over do, that's when you might find yourself in trouble!. Yes, everything in moderation! I have seen the affects of alcohol on people in my life that i care about and it's not pretty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Perhaps you can drink only while you're having a meal!. That would certainly limit you to one, possibly two!. It's a question of your willpower, really!. Can you stop at one!? Two!?
Make a point of just taking really small sips, especially with a can of beer!. By the time you get done, it will be warm and flat and who likes that!?! Drink other things in between, like a tall glass of water!. That will help fill you up so you won't feel so thirsty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on where I'm at!. If I'm at a decent establishment (restaurant, bar or other) the good stuff is usually more expensive so I will drink that!. This prevents me from getting to wasted because of the cost, and since it's the good stuff you tend to want to enjoy it!.
Another trick is honestly, nurse the nasty stuff!. I love heavy loggers and dark beers!. So, if I don't want to get drunk I'll nurse a Budweiser or Bud Light etc!.!.!.

I have 2 tips:
1!.) Only take $15!. And leave your wallet at home or in the car!. $15 is enough for 2 drinks and a nice tip!

2!.) Order water and a drink!. It makes it last longer when you have 2 things to sip on, and you will feel full faster and then you will be less likely to have more than 2 drinks!
And, depending on what you are drinking, you might want more than 2, but you have to tell yourself that you had your 2 drinks, now it's time to drink water or go home!. Good luck!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try just sticking to beer!. It's a different drunk than Whiskey!. A lot of people can't tolerate hard alcohol!. I know I can't drink Jack so I don't!. Jack affects me in a different way then anything else!. I'm ok with tequila but I get mean when i drink Jack!. Just try sticking with beer for a while!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
That was one of the reasons we quit drinking, if there was no reason to quit, like could not afford or the bar was closing, then it was hard to stop!. Now we just drink near beer and the lack of alcohol does not make you want more, easier to stop and go home!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
