There are 3 or 4 states currently doing studies to find out the effect of lowering the drinking age!. Vermont I know for sure and a few others!.
Truth be told, I think it should be!. The raising of the drinking age to 21 has done far more harm than good!. And its primary purpose, getting alcohol out the hands of teens, has been a complete failure!. But I don't honestly think it will happen anytime soon!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i live in england where it is 18 but they are thinking of putting it up and some shops wont sell it to under 21s!. i think it doesnt matter whether they do or not because under age drinkers will get alcohol if they really want it because they do already!. to much emphasis is put on the age and there is not enough education from families about responsible drinking!. getting wrecked,being sick,shagging around and acting an idiot isnt attractive at allWww@FoodAQ@Com
I live in England, its 18 over here and I think we have less binge drinking over here than you guys!? Actually, might be very wrong about that, but I know its 16 in Germany, Holland and Belgium and they have like no alchohol abuse problems, cos its not seen as a forbidden thing over there!. Its stupid that at 18 you can vote, get married, have kids, drive, go to college and live on your own, but you're not judges mature enough to drink!!? Don't know if it ever will be changed but it should be!Www@FoodAQ@Com

how many times do you hear in BW&S some nerd asking about getting drunk,, even today some jerk is asking about using hash in Amsterdam just because it is legal there!.Dork!
I say yes go ahead and lower it BUT every week report the number infractions,, D&D,, accidents,, and deaths,, and the expense incurred by the city,, county,, state,, be added to the property tax rolls!.Let the real tax payers decide!.!.

No if they due they should move the driving age to 21!. The children old enough to drive now i feel do not have the ability to handle drinking and driving!. Thats not to say that they are not others that drive now can do it any better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, that is a state decision anyway!. The federal goverment takes away highway spending to the states if they have an age lower than 21!. This is why the roads in LA were to bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Eventually, yes!.!.!. when!? probably the same time all those odd "blue laws" get repealed!.!.!. our 24 hr walmart has to close at midnight saturday night, and stay closed till noon on Sunday!. Nearby liqourstores can't sell anything past 1am on sunday morning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
