Answers:
If you really don't want to buy anything fancy, you can use about 3-4 feet of flexible tubing and siphon the wine out (hell, hack up your garden hose and sanitize it if that's all you got)!. Put one end of the tubing in the wine until it's nearly to the level of the yeast, tape it to the neck of your container so it doesn't get into the yeast, suck on the other end and as soon as it gets close to your mouth stick the end in your 2nd container!. You'll need to have the wine container up on a table and your 2nd container down on the floor so gravity can help you!. It may take a couple of tries to get the suction going!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

An AutoSiphon!.!.!.it will run you about $10 at your supply store!.

EDIT:

You could siphon off some with a bit of tubing, but I'd be concerned about contamination!.!.!.you wouldn't want the whole batch to go sour!. A turkey baster!.!.!.but that would take almost as long as the coffee filter!. Seriously!.!.!.spend the $10 for the auto-siphon!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
