A keg stand is used to hold the keg up off the ground!. This makes it easier to dispense beer from the container, especially when it starts to run low and you end up with a lot of foam!. If the keg is placed on its side, you won't need as much pumping (and therefore as much CO2) to get the liquid out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
