don julio is the best tequila!. It's like $90 for a handle but it is the smoothest I've ever had I've never had!. It's so silky smooth with a compelling combination of light cinnamon, honey and herbaceous flavors balanced by a lightly smoky taste and dark chocolate notes!. Black Medallion but the regular cuervo is not even in the top five!.

I used to drink tequila after-hours all the time at this bar where I used to work !. I don't remember a lot of them now, but just to throw my 2-cents in, I would have to say it depends on how I'm drinking it!.
For just a shot of tequila, there are a lot better out there than Patron Silver!. I would go with Patron Platinum (for which we charged $25 a shot)!. Very smooth!.
For making margaritas, I actually still like a gold tequila like Cuervo!. I'm just so used to getting it, the top shelf stuff doesn't work for me!.
And for starting off the night to get drunk on the cheap, I always go with a shot of rail tequila and a Bud Light (in that order!.!.!.liquor then beer)!. Usually Montezuma Blue!. Disgusting, I know, but it gets the job doen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
