Why tap the beer cans?!

I don't think it really works, but fluid dynamics are really strange!.
A side effect of tapping on the top of the can is that it delays opening the can, so it might help the CO2 settle a bit more in the interval, but that has more to do with the waiting than the tapping!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
