My parent drink wine every night with their meal!. That doesn't make them alcoholics!. Drinking a few times a week is common for adults!. It's only when they are getting drunk everyday and acting like idiots, that's when you have somthing to worry about!.

Drinking frequently without reason, and drinking until it's all gone is a definite step on the way to being an alcoholic!.
My father started with "just a drink after work to unwind!." It was a gentlemanly thing to do it seemed!. Then it became two!. Then three!. Then drinking on the weekends!. As I recall, this started about 1975!. In 1988 he died of a cirrhotic liver brought on by acute alcoholism!. he was 47!.
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do except stay away to protect yourself!. There's no way to help an alcoholic until they admit they have a problem!. Usually they are way far gone by the time this happens!.
Learn from their experience!. I was 27 before I took my first drink, and I will usually only drink in a social situation, and then only to moderation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Drinking every 4 days is not a problem in and of itself!. It depends on how much they drink!. You indicated that they finish the bottle!. How big is the bottle!? If they finish a half pint every 4 days then they are only drinking a couple of drinks each and it is NOT a problem!. If they finish a 750ml bottle then they would be drunk (and it would be a problem)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I had a friend once who sometimes drank a lot of whisky when he was depressed!. I feel it's often something people turn to as a way of completely blotting out their problems!. I also grew up with my mum who I suppose was alcoholic (a bottle of cider every night, and sometimes whole weekends drinking in pubs)- and nearly got killed by her drunk-driving several times!.
I really feel you should get some specialist advice, either by someone at school (a counsellor, or else a teacher you trust) or else look up in the Yellow Pages or online forums (there's a website called dailystrength!.org which has many groups dealing with everything from anxiety/depression to alcoholism - you need some advice from someone who can hear everything about your situation and give a proper recommendation!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unless your parents drink everyday and drink in excess I wouldn't worry about it!.!.the fact that it bothers you is more important!.!.You need to discuss this with them!.tell them how you feel and let them see how worried you are!.!.talking to your parents about it should not be hard!.they love you and you taking the first step is a sign of maturity and they will be happy that you are a very caring person!.Good LuckWww@FoodAQ@Com
Well I don't know if it would come to this, but my first advice would be if you think it is getting bad, confide in a school counselor!. IF they are true alcoholics, go to this link and it will help you!.

i wouldn't really be that worried unless they do it everyday, or they're abusive, but obviously it's upsetting you so say it them some eveningWww@FoodAQ@Com
