Your friend is in denial!. There is absolutely nothing you can do!. When your friend admits that he has a problem with alcohol and would like help, then you can step in!. Even then, be prepared to have your help shoved back in your face!. Alcoholics are selfish, deceitful and love only one thing - alcohol!.
My husband was an alcoholic who refused to believe he had a problem for many years!. Even when he wet the bed every night he wouldn't accept it was due to drinking!. His drinking caused endless arguments and even that's not worth it!. He used to storm off to bed pissed!. I'd be left downstairs feeling awful and the next day he couldn't even remember!. He drank 2 bottles of wine a day of 2 year and he died of alcohol induced pancreatitis!. Mention this to your friendWww@FoodAQ@Com

The first and most difficult step is to get him to realise and admit that he has a problem!.
Once you have achieved this he may accept help!.
Find Alcoholics Anonymous in the phone book!.
You may also have a drop-in help centre in your area!.
Your doctor may be able to help!.

well he is your best friend!.!.!.!.!.!.!. so take him to a doctor nor you try to be with him when he is tempted to drink or the last idea is jus take some informations about people dying out of alcohol and create elusive fear within him and try to explain evil effects of alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If he doesn't believe he has a problem then there is nothing you can do he is in a state of denial, get some information from the AA and leave it lying around he may pick it up and get the message, but don't hold your breath!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
MamaCass is right, Chantell!.!.
You cannot help someone until you help yourself!.
You may find help for the problem you are having by attending an Al Anon meeting, and their number is in the phone book, as MamaCass suggested!.
I wish you luck!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Until HE realizes he has a problem it will be very hard to help him! also if he thinks your are interfering he may resent you! Just be patient and if he is smart he will realize that what he is doing affects people around him aswell as himself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
There is nothing at all you can do!. An alcoholic has to really want to stop drinking, and do something about it himself!. If he chooses this path, support him and encourage him all you can!. But, he has to choose!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The!. only person that can help is himself You may be able to get advice from AlAnon!.Their number will be in the phone book!. It is specifically for friends of alcoholics!. Good luck to you both xWww@FoodAQ@Com
Try talking about it, acceptance is the first step to recovery, if he is young, try talking to his parents (unless they don't get on)Www@FoodAQ@Com
