Assistance with food pairing with cognac?!

Question: Assistance with food pairing with cognac!?
My boyfriend loves cognac such as brandy and Hennessey: I know their are rules for food and wine pairing but – but are there food etiquettes with cognac!? Any suggestion
can a drink be served before dinner with appetizers or strictly after for dessert presentation!?

Answers:
Cognac is really nice with smoked salmon, blue cheese or even dark chocolate!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

From a pairing book I have:

foie gras (highly recommended)
asian food
roasted duck
pork
rich dishes
roasted squab

So I guess that means you really can serve it with your meal!. I'm not a cognac drinker, but I can see the foie gras idea since the classic foie gras pairing is Sauternes which is a rather rich, dense sweet wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
