I hate alcohol with a passion, for personal reasons!.!. trust me, I cannot stand it!. It does cause a lot of damage, and I've never seen the point , personally, of having to drink to have a good time!.
However, i don't think there would be any point in banning it again!. It was attempted before, and people found ways to do it anyway!. It would cause more trouble to ban it than to just leave it be!.
I'm a strong believer in personal choice!.

No it shouldn't and it only causes those problems when its consumed irresponsibly!. If you don't drink to the point where you become aggressive, drink and drive, drink and rob places etc, or drink to the point where your body needs it and you use it responsibly then it does Absolutely no harm!. Alcohol helps people relax and unwind after having a hard day, or to make their night out with friends more fun!. The people who consume it legally and properly enjoy doing so, and should have every right to do so!. Anything that can make your life a little better by helping you take some time for yourself is a good thing!.

It would certainly be better for society if we didn't have/allow alcohol!. However, realistically we'll never get rid of it now!. It's been around since before recorded history, so a ban is just not feasible!. A much better approach would be to heavily educate people to the dangers of it!. And start making it a culture issue instead!. Turn drinking into an activity that is frowned upon so people drink less on their own!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, you can't ban something because of potentially harmful use!. Too much food causes obesity, fast driving causes accidents, a hunting gun can kill someone!. Start down the 'potentially problematic' things list and you'll never stop!.

You want more laws to control your life!? We already have town and cities banning all kinds of things for one cause or another!. Chicago banned pate foi gras and smoking ( virtually) and firearms!. That alone caused more problems for business than anything else!.

people would still brew it and sell it out of their house so if you put those "brewing/selling/buying illegal substance" crimes on top of drunk driving, accidents caused by drunk driving, public intoxication, etc we'd run out of jail cells and the community would have to pay even more to have these criminals locked up!.
Not to mention bars, liquor stores, alcohol companies would get shut down resulting in a crap ton of unemployment, which means our taxes would have to help support those people!.
If there weren't major backlashes like that, I would have to agree with you!. I think alcohol is right up there with heroin and because it's legal people (especially teens) assume it's a safe drug!. :(Www@FoodAQ@Com

im sure u didnt mean to say it like this but what about the family members that have to put up with domestic abuse or worst!? how about the little kids that get ran over by the stupid drunk guy behind the wheel on the street, right infront of his house!? or the family members from the kids families!? what about all the fights that go on in bars or in the street cuz of drinking!. somebody gets a fist to the face and screws up his vision or something!. a guy in a car put everybody in the street in danger!. i think is safe to say that is everybodys problem!. those are just examples from a few different scenarios!. there is milions of ways in which a guy that is impared by alcohol could do to harm others!. not to mention he is messing his brain cells and is waiting for his liber to fail!. he is affecting everybody man!. what he is doing to his body is second to the potential harm he can cause elsewhere!.
