Is my wine fermenting?!
i made some wine in a gallon jug a few days ago, there are bubbles rising to the top like it should!. i was just wondering if this is a guarantee that the fermentation process is going on or could i have messed up the yeast and wont find out till after its done!?
this is my first time making wine so ANY recommendations are good ones as long as they are right!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is definitely fermenting!. However that doesn't mean that it's the yeast that is acting on the sugars!. It could be bacterial contamination, although 99!.9% of the time it will be the yeast!. So far, so good!. You won't find out how good until you drink it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Sounds good to me!. Take the stopper off and have a sniff!. It should have that characteristic aroma of fermentation!.
Have a go at making you own "country" wines, that's far more fun than a kit!.

I've had a blast and made really good wines from parsnips, cherries, plums, even mint!
You need to get some more equipment, but in my view it's well worth it!. All those demi johns bubbling away!.!.!.

oh wow, first time!.!. I remember those days!.
You may or may not see bubbles, you really need some sort of an airlock, CO2 out and prevents wild yeast to get in!.
In a couple weeks, the yeasts will have eaten themselves silly, passed all the gas and released alcohol!.
It takes about 6 weeks!.
Do not use bakers yeast for wine!. you need a good wine yeast!.
there are a lot of web sites to find how to make wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
