Drink 6-month old vodka-koolaid combo?!

Question: Drink 6-month old vodka-koolaid combo!?
Really random question!. I'm not totally serious; just curious!.

About 6 or 7 months ago, I poured some vodka and koolaid into a water bottle (kinda like a nalgene bottle)!. I never finished drinking it and sort of forgot about it!.

The water bottle is clear red plastic, so after awhile, I just assumed it was water inside and never bothered to pour it out!.

So I've had a koolaid (sugar and water)/ vodka cocktail brewing in this water bottle for MONTHS!. Gross, right!?

I just opened the bottle to smell it (I'm bored!.!.!.) and, besides smelling like alcohol, it doesn't smell bad at all!. Like, no hint of rotteness, lol!.

What do you think would happen if I drank it!? It's about 5oz total (of koolaid and vodka combined)!.

My guess is that since it's been fermenting for six months, I'll get uber ill, but a little buzzed beforehand!. :) Just a guess!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Was it in the refrigerator!? Or just sitting out!?
You'll probably be fine!. But there's only one way to find out, now isn't there!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmmm!.!.!. that is, unless the chemicals have reacted with the water bottle plastic! Even Nalgene phased out a whole line of their products that contained a component found to be hazardous to your health, in a not-so-fun way!.
Vodka doesn't improve with age!. it just gets nasty!. and if it managed to turn corrosive, you might end up drinking more than just your vodka kool-aid mixer!.

Most bottled water manufacturers discourage re-use of their bottles, even for just regular water (much less vodka and kool-aid!) because the bottles tend to break down and/or become bacterial breeding grounds!. Now you probably are not in danger of a bacterial hit considering the alcohol content in your mix, but do you really want to drink dissolved plastic!? :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It really depends on the ratio of vodka to water!. Vodka has enough alcohol in it to keep nasties from growing in a drink mixture forever, as long as it's not too diluted!. If it doesn''t smell bad and it doesn't have any nasty floaties in it I wouldn't worry about tasting a little!. If it doesn't taste bad, why waste it!? Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well!.!.!. I sit my vodka in a warm closet, and I never get hurt from it!. Kool-Aid is just water with sugar and mix in it!. So, I see nothing in that combo that would really hurt you right off the bat!.

But if you're really worried about it!.!.!. just toss it, and don't worry about the risk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vodka is a natural antiseptic!. The sugar in it could not ferment anything due to the high alcohol content!. It might taste a little different, but it could not hurt you!. It will get you drunk too, if you're a light weight!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It hasn't been fermenting, it's fine!. as long as the bottle was air tight you're fine!. it wouldn't ferment because bacteria can't live in alcohol!. drink it up, get yourself buzzed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

haha theres probably a zoo inside it!.!.!.sugar starts to breed bacteria if it isnt refrigerated!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think if it's at least 50% vodka, it's safe to drink!. THis is my totally unprofessional opinion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You'll get so sick!. That thing is bacteria infested!. DON"T!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
