Some wine tastes like a very strong juice!. I haven't had much wine, but they can vary greatly!. There are wines like Arbor Mist which are very sweet, and others that are strong, and yes, some that are bitter!.
I haven't tasted enough different kinds and brands of wine to really accurately tell you the spectrum of tastes, but if you are curious, try Arbor Mist, then some Red Wine and White wine just for starters, then see which appealed most to you and have some more brands of that type!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First, it takes time to educate your palate to distinguish the many flavors in a wine!. The flavors come from the vines from different areas of the country (and overseas) and how and if they are blended!. You have the Cabernet Sauvignon (red wine) grape that can blend with the Syrah grape and have flavors of black fruit, juicy, luscious other fruit and spices!. Or you could have the blend of many grapes such as the Zinfandel, Mourvedre Carignane and Petite Sirah!. So here you may taste leather and lavender, rasberry, black pepper spices!.
So, to answer your question - no, wine does not taste like grape juice; only to those who have not the experience and time to educate themselves!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

depending on the wine it can be bitter or sweet it really just depends!. It really taste more like grape juice mixed with like fingernail polish remover, at least to me, at first your kinda like its grape juice but then it hits you and really its just the alcohol in it but I prefer hard liquor or beer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It depends on the flavor!. I hate chardonnay because it tastes salty to me, I like cabernet sauvignon, merlot is okay as well!. I've tried zinfandel but wasn't impressed pinot noir was not one of my faves either, taste like a watered down juice to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
A good wine has many layers that !.!.!. may start out with a bouquet of fruit and finish with an oak taste!.!.!. (like my favorite chadonnay) depends on your tastes!. I recommend a 2002 Chrianaz from the Roija region of spain, if you like reds, pair with a red meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I've had many different wines and they all taste bitter to me!.
Every wine is made from different ingredients!. Straight fermented grape juice will obviously taste different from something that has various juices combined!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
