Am i really a snob????????!
All my friends call me a snob, they say the reasons are:
by the way im 15 years old and female
1) until a few months ago i had never had a weekend in my home town (Cheltenham) due to going either windsurfing skiing or kite bugging every weekend!.
2) i have 3 wardrobes
3)i only Designer clothes
4)I live in a big house
5) I have a personal hair dresser
6)i have my own personal shopper
7)me and my brother both have 2 bedrooms each (could have more but there spare rooms)
8) and also my dad bought another building for me and my brother to transfer to a house that when we want to have friends round we can go there instead of going to our house so its more fun
does that really mean im a snob

One day, it will get to the point where you have to earn your own money, and live your own life!. Its not going to be as easy as you have it now!. This makes me feel slightly sick, as I'm 18 and can't even afford the petrol money to get to college and do my foundation art course, never mind be able to afford train tickets to go and visit my best friends who have all moved 300 miles away to university :(

The scenario you've given is a tad bit suspect!. I doubt it is true, but it's a slow day, so here you go!. Yep!. Sounds like you are a snob with a capital "S;" more like a "wannabe" snob!. Being a snob has nothing to do with what possessions you or your parents may have!. Consider people like the late Princess Diana or John Lennon!. Both were wealthy, but neither was perceived as being snobbish!. Quite the contrary!. It's your attitude, and the choices you make that lead others to label you a snob!. It's quite possible your friends refer to you as a snob for lack of a better word to describe you!. But, I doubt that's why they refer to you as a snob!. My guess is you've bragged about all the things your privileged life affords you, and it's become annoying to your friends!. You've demonstrated that here by listing all the material things and services you have at your fingertips, when that was not at all necessary to state your case!. In layman's terms, a snob is someone who tends to look down at those who don't share an equal or "better" economic status!. It's someone who believes they are better than someone else simply because the other person isn't rich or famous!. It's someone who tends to patronize, or ignore people they regard as social inferiors, but admire and seek association with people they believe are social superiors!. In other words, "shallow!." People that aren't snobs don't talk about their wealth!. They leave that up to other people to do (Forbes Magazine, etc!. ) Rather, they use their wealth to do something positive in the world!. In my opinion, snobs are insecure, and have low self-esteem!. I believe they may overcompensate for their feelings of inadequacy by filling a void in their life with possessions instead of developing positive relationships!. Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox!. If you're not a snob, and don't want to be perceived as one, I suggest you focus your attention on school, family, friends, and your community!. You're probably a very nice person!.
