PLEASE HELP! Drinking for the first time, any tips?!

Question: PLEASE HELP! Drinking for the first time, any tips!?
Me and my class are going to the beach, and they've all drank before!. They think I've drank before which I haven't, although I didn't say anything!. Anyway, I've tasted "Mudshake Vodka" and I love it! It was only like, an ounce though but I plan on buying a while bottle for the trip (any tips for a 2 hour drive with vodka in my bag!? I should bring a can opener right!?) and everyone else is bringing like beers (There's like 20 of us and the beers are going to be Light or Lite) so, I haven't tasted beer before!.!.!. I just want some tips on how to handle it and what does it taste like and how do I not end up on the floor!? Seriously, I don't want to be a burden to anyone having to carry me!. I have tasted brandy before but it was just 2 shots!.!.!. I wasn't tipsy, I just wanted to be careful so I stopped!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
just take it slow,SIP it dont gulp it lol

do not drink the vodka straight, on its own its pretty vile!. mix it with some fruit juice or lemonade/coke!.
When being sociable you end up drinking more than you realise, so thats a good way not to get too drunk too fast!

and if you start feeling dizzy or too drunk switch to water, or even just the fruit juice or lemonade, that way evryone still thinks your still drinking but your not flat on your back lol

i do this, then when i feel fine, or like evryone else has caught up with me i start back on the voddy

have fun :)

With the info you have provided you are in for something!. Do what you must but remember:
if you can't do the time don't do the crime!
You never start out to become an alcoholic but that one drink soon leads to many just to make it through the day!.
Have a great trip don't call me for help or sympathy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't drink on an empty stomach!.
You should eat some beaf or some meats before drinking specially the first time to protect your stomach!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes drink so much u pass out im serious it's so much fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Legal or not, it's your decision!. But at least you're trying to be informed and do it responsibly!.

I kind of wonder if your "What's so great about drinking anyways" attitude stems from the fact that it's legal and not a big deal to you!. Whereas here in the USA, kids tend to want to rebel against their parents and the government's ideals, so I think that kind of romanticizes it!.

But at any rate!.!.!.
I would say TAKE IT EASY!. Since you don't weigh much!.!.!. try a light mixed fruity drink like Smirnoff or Mikes hard Lemonade, if you're not used to beer, you WON'T like it!

As far as what the big deal is, alchohol in moderate amounts tends to relax you socially and physically, and is a GREAT thing, however, you can let yourself get TOO relaxed and either reveal all kinds of personal information to a complete stranger, make yourself look like a doofus, or worst of all SLEEP with someone that you don't know!.

So, be careful!
And don't drive after this!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would prefer to give you a lecture, but I am not going to judge, so if you are definitely going to drink, I would suggest the following:

Find wine coolers with the least amount of alcohol - get something that you probably won't see anyone else drinking and only get 4 or 6!. Keep them in your own cooler!. Do not accept drinks from anyone else!

Space it out by drinking a bottled water between each alcohol drink!. If you are under peer pressure, then put a soda or fruit juice in a cup & "pretend" it is a mixed drink!. Eat really well & please don't drink and drive (assuming you know how to drive)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ok hun, I'm a bartender in training and I have personally seen people get drunk after 3 or 4 rounds!. Your small so my tips would be just take it real slow and sip your drinks!. Not baby sips just no chugging!. You'll know when your drunk!. also if you are going to mix beer and hard alcohol drink liqour first, for some reason some people get sick when they do it the other way around!. Put something in your bag to keep the vodka cold like those reusable ice packs!. Beer is an aquired taste!. I remember my first beer a thought it was the worst thing ever, now I make my own! Lite beer has a watered down taste so just try it and you don't like it, don't drink it!. By the way where do you live where its legal for someone your age to drink!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

First off your small and liquour like vodka will get you close to drunk after 6 or 7 shots on empty stomach!. So eat a sandwhich or something that will soak up the alchol!. Second off where do you live lol!. But seriously!. Don't drink a lot at once just because you don't feel it yet doesn't mean you won't!. A lot of people do many shots and don't feel it right away but it will catch up to you!. Drinking is fun and all but be careful or you will end up throwing up because your body will reject the alchol after its had too much!. And to be on the safe side don't mix beer with hard alchol it could make you throw up!. Your body can get rid of a beer or a shot in about an hour!. also as soon as you begin to feel it slow way down baby the drink if you have to and by that I mean sip on it slowly!. You don't want to get blistering drunk because once you are its hard to get sober!. Obviously don't drink and drive and if you have to drive stop drinking about 2 hours before you plan on leaving and when you stop start drinking water or gatorade!.
If you do get drunk the next morning or afternoon drink plenty of water and gatorade your body is going to lose a lot of water and vitamins and that's what a hangover is dehydration and lack of nutrients!.
So eat something while your drinking and when your nice and buzzed stop because you won't know when to if you get drunk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
