How do you make dry-ice?!
i'm just wondering how, my science teacher was talking about it, but i wasn't listening, so, how do you make it!? thanks!. you can send me videos, or whatever!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
you CAN make it yourself in small amounts!. its not a easy or cheap process though!.
you will need a canister of CO2
you will need a burlap bag, or another simmilar cloth bag!.
you will need a small nozzel for the CO2 tank
process for making dry ice:
1!. fasten the bag securely onto the nozzel, so the nozzel goes into the bag!.
2!. then turn on the CO2 to a high rate, so the CO2 blows into the bag, getting it EXTREMLY cold VERY fast!. The gas will mostly hit and pass through the holes in the cloth bag, but because of the temerature of the escaping gass, some will collect on the cloth, making CO2 "Snow"!.
4!. you then quickly need to turn the bag inside-out and scrape the film of CO2 into a very cold freezer, where you can press it into blocks or cubes!.
you can't eat it!.!.!. it would turn to gas in your mouth, and would burn your mouth at the same time because of the extreme cold!.
Putting dry ice in a cup of water, it will actually evaporate into a fog-like material faster than it will freeze the water!. They do this on movies, and during holloween parties a lot
you can get the valves with the bag attached already online, or fancier versions that all attach to CO2 tanks:Www@FoodAQ@Com

One of the few solids that goes straight to gas without becoming liquid first, it is made from CO2 (carbon di-oxide) gas!.
The gas becomes solid after reducing the tempature, far below 0!. Obviously, the equipment for doing this at home, does not exist!.
It is so cold, that it draws the heat from your skin so fast it can burn you on contact!.
Get some, in time for Holloween, and put it in warm water(don't use glass) to make fog!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You freeze carbon dioxide!. If you can figure out how to do it at home, my hat's off to you!. Dry ice is the only thing you can buy that goes from solid to gas without becoming a liquid in between!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It is simply solid-state Carbon Dioxide!. You should not eat it!. It is one of the few substances that sublimates!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
YOU CANT MAKE IT YOURSELF, IT IS A GAS!.!.YOU HAVE TO BUY IT FROM A STORE OR A DISTRIBUTOR
