I need tips on how to open a stubborn bottle of wine-I do have a corkscrew?!
I have been trying to open this bottle of Turning Leaf for like an hour now!.!.!.I have a corkscrew, but the cork just won't budge!. Any ideas or tips!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

The tip of pushing it is good if all else fails!.
Another tip (if you aren't already drunk) is used for opening vintage port bottles where the cork has deteriorated so far, that you cannot use a bottle opener at all!.
Rub ice around the neck of the bottle for a few minutes, while at the same time heating a pair of tongs!. Once the tongs are hot enough, place on either side of the neck and snap it off!.

If it's plastic, you need a better corkscrew with more leverage!. If it's a real cork, you can break it up with the corkscrew or even push it into the bottle, then decant the wine through some cheesecloth to get out the cork bits!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
