Okay, first - I need your help here!. I don’t know what a “David MORGANS RED WINE” is!. Do you mean a Mogen David Concord Red Wine!? This is important, because the Mogen David taste profile is pretty unique!. Its sweet and full, with decent alcohol to it!.
If you are talking about a Mogen David, I would like you to completely ignore the advice regarding Merlot’s or Pinot Noir’s or Malbec’s or Cab’s or, you get the picture!. That’s because Mogen David is not your typical red wine!. True, Merlot’s have a smooth finish than a Cabernet Sauvignon because Merlots typically have less tannins and is more acidic!. But that said, Merlot is still a wine with little residual sugar and definitely not sweet and full like a Mogen David!.
Try an red Italian Lambrusco!. You can go the inexpensive variety like Riunite for a few bucks or a more interesting one from Medici for 12 to 15 bucks!. Lambrusco made well is sweet - strawberry like - and light!. Its has very soft tannins and great acidity (makes it refreshing)!. Plus it has a little fizz to it that makes it fun!.
Next up, try a French Beaujolais Villages!. Run about 14 bucks or so!. Fun wine to have!. Very little tannins (wine is made in a pecular way, called carbonic maceration, that keeps the tannins out during fermentation)!. Little tannins to get in the way of tasting those great red berry flavors!. Good acidity makes it refreshing and crisp!. These are good!.
If you had to go with a New World wine like California, stick to blends like Gallo’s Hearty Burgundy!. Those tend to be much smoother than single grape varietals!.
Lastly, as you try other wines beyond Mogen David, stick to those had have very soft tannins and good acidity!. Ask your local wine shop or look on line!. Check out ehow!.com and look under food and beverages!.
Good Luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go for a good grape juice, made with red grapes and Concord grapes!.!.!.that is to die for!. Joking aside, Merlot is a good choice!. There is a great red wine that my brother likes called Moore's Creek Cabernet Sauvignon!. He said the wine has a great cranberry and plum fruitness to it with a good hint of spicy oak, smoke and lavender!.
Another to try is an Argentinian red, Malbec!. Malbec is deep red and has almost a deep ruby color!. Great dark berry flavor with a ton of spice!.
If you really want to go with a unique but good tasting red I would try the Newlan Merlot from Napa Valley!. It starts with a beautiful blend of chocolate-covered raspberries, blueberries and plums and adds smoke and a feast of dried spices, combining all these wonderful qualities into a oak finish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
