Why do I get so red when I drink?!

Well alcohol does have a rise low affect!. I actually monitored this with my BP monitor because I read off a site during periods of intoxication blood sugars first rise than drop!.
My BP is naturally kinda high, 130's/80's; however when I hit the warm phase I sweat a lot and the capillaries shrink and my blood pressure jumps up to like 140's/100's sometimes 150's/100's (which for me would be about 2 or 3 beers)!. However, once I hit after my second vodka drink down (relative to about 6 beers I say), my blood pressure drops to 120's/70's and I have a good buzz!. Once I remember I wanted to see how low I can get my BP from alcohol and I made it drop all the way below my tiny gf's BP into the 90's/50's from getting drunk, then I went to bed!.
So it may be just the high point from your blood pressure/blood sugar!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can sympathize with you, I get red after I have drank a few beers as well, some say it may be a small allergic reaction, it doesn't get any worse if I drink more, just red!. Some say it has something to do with blood capillaries!.

Could be your blood pressure so why not next time have it checked to make sure it is not to high!. If it is you best stay away from the drinking and talk to your doctor!. also many people with light skin get red easily so could it be that you got embarrassed or were laughing hard or something like that!? My wife has the same problem But not with wine!. Beer has Niacin and that can make some people flush and feel hot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
