HELP! An I.D. question?!
I live in michigan and I have a question!. I am turning 21 in a few days and I went to get a new I!.D!. I already received it in the mail and its a vertical one!. On it says under 21 until the september 2008!. Then in the corner it says it expires in 2012!. So will this I!.D still get me into bars seeing its vertical and not horizontal!?!?!? Your I!.D good until it expires!. Legally they can not deny you on that base because its still current!. I continue to use my vertical one and i've been 21 Www@FoodAQ@Com
i'm surprised they actually gave you a new ID before your birthday, because it has the red on there saying you're still under 21!. i just turned 21 last month and my ID coincidentally expired on my 21st!. i'd go in and see if there is any way you can just get a new one, a horizontal one!. you'll probably have to pay for it but it might save you some time at the door!. because if its vertical and has red on it, i'm sure the door guy is going to really check it out!. some bars might actually not even let you in!. make sure you have several IDS on you just in case if you don't get it changed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The same thing happened to my brother!. It depends on the bar!. Here in Washington people who are underage when they get an ID, it'll have the information vertical, and when you're of age or over all of it's horizontal!. So he went into a bar, even though it had his birth date on it, the bartender didn't take it cuz it wasn't horizontal!. They told him to get a new ID!. So I would just try it out, and then if you have problems I would just get a new one!.

The best advice I can give is just go get a horizontal one!. Yes your prob gonna have to pay for it but you will recieve alot less hassle seeing how statewide that licence is widly recognized as the one for people under 21!. Spending some money now will save you some headaches later!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm from MI also!. I haved worked in places where beer etc is sold!. As long as it has your correct date of birth on it you shouldn't have too much of a problem with it!.
