A pub is not a family restaurant, leave the little bastards at home!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, here in Ireland if your under 18 you can't be in a place where they serve alcohol past 7 in the evening!. Now, I'm 16!. And it's a complete pain in the ****!. And it's not because I can't drink - I have never drank in a pub before, because I'd be too stressed out about being kicked out!. It's a pain because that means I can't get into a lot of gigs because, surprise surprise, they serve alcohol!. So maybe kids under 10!.!.!. but not under 18!. And, I just want to point out, I really hate children (Probably stems from being an only child)Www@FoodAQ@Com

We always were as kids!.
The first time I went into a pub was at 18 when my father took me for a celebratory drink!.
Prior to that kids either went into a "family room", i!.e!. inside the pub but there was no bar (legal requirement), or sat outside with a pop and a packet of crisps!.
I must admit to "curling up" in embarrassement with my grandchildren in a pub serving meals, when they were allowed to chase round and round other diners in the bar, creating total mayhem, after my daughter had been knocking chairs right left and centre with a laden double buggy!.
Pubs should be adult places where adults can enjoy a quiet half hour or so and children should have their play areas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They already are - Bars & Pubs are supposed to be strictly 21 and over! Unless it is a restaurant like a bar & grill!.

I don't know were you are going that is allowing kids in!.

If you are talking about the restaurant kind of place- then it is the parent's responsibility to watch their kids to make sure that they are not bothering anyone and they should not take them if they can't do that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i guess it depends on where you go!. most of the ones in my town i wouldn't take my kid too, but there is one that's very family friendly and has a large outdoor patio so i don't have to worry about her being around smoke and what not!. plus all of the people that go there for the most part are a senior crowd so they're just a bunch of mellow old folks anyhow!. but your average college bar - hello no!. even i don't want to go in some of those places!. but in the event i were at my favorite bar and someone brought their kids in and let them run around, i'd be pissed and think them bad parents!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I do believe children shouldn't be allowed in pubs!. My local ones either don't allow them in or they have a policy for them to be out by 8pm!. Personally i don't believe a pub at night is a great place to take a child!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no not at all, im a single mother of two and i take my kids to the pub sometimes for a meal and a play in the playground and they certainly don't run around shoutingWww@FoodAQ@Com

as an ex publican I'd say yes because parents now adays have no control over there offspring and they treat a pub like an extension of there lounge which is all well and good till one of the little darlings gets covered in hot food then see who complainsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Not if the pub has reputable day care and the kids are safeguarded from the tobacco and patrons!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im 12 but im mature lol but i agree although im stil a kid i dont run aroung but if they are like 6 or under then yes it annoyes me and im a kid ( as iv been saying )Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm fine with it as long as they get a round in, if they can't afford to drink they shouldn't be there!.!.!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. Only us smokers belong in bars and pubs!. Ban everyone else!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No they shouldn't, but they should be out by a reasonable time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

haha i love your attitude ;) ^^ lmao at comment above me!Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes! kids and drunks don't mixWww@FoodAQ@Com

No that's a bit harsh!.!.!.just put them in a cage or somethingWww@FoodAQ@Com
