Distinction between beer, wine and liquor as well as other lesser known alcoholic beverages, they share one thing in common!. They are the fermentation products of yeasts, mostly Saccharomyces cerevisiae or in the case of beers, usually S!. carlsburgiensis!. Yeasts, as you recall, are not mycelial!. They are unicellular fungi that reproduce asexually by budding or fission!. The reaction by which alcoholic beverages are produced is generally referred to as fermentation and may be summarized as:

Yeast + Glucose è Alcohol (Ethanol) + CO2

Gin(not jin) is a whiskey base with added botanicals normally distilled in a pot still!. Gin must have Juniper Berries, Corriander, Orange Peel and other botanicals for flavor!. See link below for more details!.

Whiskey is a whole different animal and includes many different types but is a femented grain based distilled spirit that is aged in wooden barrels to take on some of the flavors and colors from the wood!. There are blended whiskys such as Bourbon and unblended such as single malt scotch or corn whiskey!.
Moonshine is whiskey without the aging!.

Vodka: To produce basically a flavourless vodka, which can be flavoured using either commercial flavourings, or use fruits to convert to liqueurs!.

Rum:Rum gets additional flavor from ex Bourbon barrels and caramelised (burnt) sugar!. A suggested proportion would be 5-10 tsp/litre of rum which would give a sweetness of 2!.5-5% which is in line with what is added to other liquors!.

Brandy is distilled wine or fermened fruit!. Fruit brandy's include peach, apricot or blackberry brandy!. Normally it is not aged like wine but distilled immediately after fementation

The amount of consumable alcohol also differs!.!.!.beer usually has just 5% alcohol!.!.!.in case of rum and jin and vodka the amount is higher and u are sure to get more kick with the later 3 and also more damage!.!.!.rum which is available in the market is highly concentrated one and supposed to be mixed with water but white rum dosent need to be!.!.!.vodka and jin need not be mixed with water i think!.!.!.also the cost differs!.!.!.more the kick more the cost!.!.!.there is more difference in the raw materials that are used to produce the alcohol!.!.!.which is usually some plant source!.!.after fermentation!.!.!.the level of refining would also differ in the 4 stuff!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Whisky & Rum came from the English!.

Nomally, Gin is called as a drink for ladies (produced from cashews)

Beer is the most common drink with less alcohol content compared to other drinks!.

Beer is brewed from barly!.!.!.and the whisky is made is tennesse or else there is no difference between scotch and whisky!.!.schotch is made is schottland!.!.!.vodka is made in russia but yet the beans from which the different drinks are made are different!.!.!.as some one of you said,after all its fermented alchohol rich drink!.
