My uncle just drank a 6 pack in under 20 minutes!.!.!. that's messed up!. But he has been an alcoholic for over 35 years!.

It is indeed very bad to be an Alcoholic!. The worst affected part of the body would be liver!. Once the liver gets affected, there is unfortunately no cure but to go for liver transplant!. This is very costly affair & there are very few doctors & hospitals who would carry out this operation!. The problem also would be finding the donor!.
Actually the person who is alcoholic, does not realise that he has a problem!. If he accepts this, he can be treated before it is too late!. There are institutions called Alcohol Anonymous, who carry out this good work of naturally treating these patients!.

I have no patience with anyone that chooses to abuse a substance!. Some say that it is a disease!. Well, I never heard of any disease that allows you to decide what the symptoms are!. No one put a gun to his head and forced him to drink!. He chose to continue drinking because he likes how it makes him feel!. He can choose to stop when he decides that reality is good enough after all!. Yes, alcohol is additive and he will need help, including medical help, that first week or so!. They are trapped in the bottle! I belive that a strong willed and strong minded person can make up there mind to stop, but they have to want it! No amount of help will HELP if they do not mean it!.!.!.!.!.For the weak, long term alcoholics it would take something tramatic in there lives, like cancer or something along that line to affect them so they want to quit!. But the other 75% are sadly drownig inside a liquior bottle full of turmoil and helplessness!.!.!. !Www@FoodAQ@Com
some people believe that being an alcoholic is a disease, i think its just a really bad habit!. some habits are extremely hard to break!.!.!. some need counseling!. i think that some cant help it on their own, but i think that those who know that they have a problem CAN help it, by getting helpWww@FoodAQ@Com
Every time an alcoholic takes a drink, he can help it!. They will always be alcoholic even when they get into recovery, but with effort, AA meetings, medication and support, they can get started on the road to health!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
