Hookah problem...Coco Nara Coal issues...?!
Ive just switched to Coco Naras, and i light them on the stove!. I remove them when they are completely RED hot!.!.!.the problem is that after about 5 minutes of smoking the coals turn black and completely ruin the taste and make the hookah very harsh!. I used to use golden coals, but i switched to Coco Naras because I tried them ONCE and i got thick flavorful smoke within literally 2 puffs!! But now theyre turning black even after leaving them on the stove for 20 minutes (they're meant to be left on for just 10 minutes) What do I do!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just to make sure you mean these coals:

I use these exclusively!.
Okay for Cocos, here is what you do:
Put them on the stove burner!. Wait until the corners are lit to the top, the coals should look about half lit at that point!. Use your tongs and flip them over!. Wait until the corners are fully red again and you are set!.
Now when you put them on the bowl put them in a triangle pattern (3 Coals) or across from each other (2 Coals)!. About every 15-20 minutes you should ash your coals on the Coal Carrier or Ash Catcher on your hookah, flip them so the blackest side is facing up on the bowl and rotate from their previous position!.
Make sure you have plenty of holes in your foil/screen and they are big enough!. Insufficient air flowing down around them will have them unlight!.
If you have a fan on, turn it off, if your AC vent is pointed towards your hookah turn it off!. You may need to use a wind cover because there is too much air flow where you are smoking, making the unlight quicker!. Unlike the flow of air when smoking room or outside air circulation can remove the heat from the coals instead of keeping them lit!.
I use a Traditional Wind Cover Most of the time

But on my MZ and KM Hookahs they are too short so now I use the Fez Cap most of the time just out of habit!. Perfect for phunnel bowls!.

Remember the Key to all natural coals, especially Coconara's is flipping them when you light them and when you smoke them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
