DRINKERS: Can you NOT drink for days at a time or is this impossible?!
Someone I knew had a loved one with a "drinking problem"!. When they denied this (of course, they all do!), the person was asked, "If it not a problem for you, then can you try to not drink for a week!?" Needlesstosay, they couldn't!. HmmmmmWww@FoodAQ@Com

being a recovering alcoholic, no i couldn't!. drugs and booze ran my life for 25 yrs!. the alcohol gave me feelings that i couldn't get anywhere else!. if i was awake i was drinking or getting high one way or another!. after a night of pounding them fast and furious i passed out and fell off the porch and cracked open my skull and compressed my vertebrae between my shoulder blades!. ouch!!!. that was back in 1990 and it took a whole year before i surrendered!. by this time i was heavy into cocaine and starting out on crack!. it took me a couple tries in rehab and a!.a!. to finally kick the habit!. today i'm on meds for my depression and i have no need or desire to drink and or do drugs!. god willing in november i will have 11 yrs!. of sobriety!. but i have to make it through today first!. it's the only day that matters to me!. one day at a time!. =)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Some people have addictive personalities!. Alcohol is one of the more addictive substances!. I bet you if these people were to do harder drugs they'd be worse!.
I on the other hand can drink every day for a week and then go weeks without drinking!. There is no set rule for drinkers!. It depends on the persons will power, access to the drug, addiction to the drug, and desire to use the drug !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like my cold beer and drink quite a bit of it, but i have gone a week or more without any because I just didn't feel like having a beer!.
I've got a case of bud light that has been in the fridge for more than a week now, but i just haven't been in the mood for one!. Im sure that will change soon!. Maybe later today, after I mow the grass!. I would almost bet on it!.

I usually do not drink during the weekdays unless it's a glass of wine with dinner - weekends is usually when i have a couple martini's or a couple glasses of wine!. Weekdays I usually do not since i get home from work, cook dinner, clean up and have tons of other stuff to do!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I very much enjoy a drink or two when I get home from work, and if I'm at a game I'll have a couple beers!.

Anyone who isn't dependent would be able to easily go a week without drinking!. They might think it sucks if the only social thing they do is go to a bar, but still they could do it!. I've gone months without drinking before!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
