How does one find out the password for a speakeasy ?!

Question: How does one find out the password for a speakeasy !?
Answers:
These are the standard passwords used for certain people to gain access to a Speakeasy!. For the general public the password was not usually given!. For select clientele the password was passed way of word-of-mouth!. This was true since the speakeasy was considered a high class establishment of the prohibition era!. So then many important people were given the password and not the general public!. The general public would go to the prohibition era taverns called "blind pig," or "gin joints!."

"Though you needed to whisper the pass word of the night, knock three times or have a membership card to gain access!. An owl behind the bar meant it was the place to be!." It seems the password changed nightly which makes sense!.

the idea of a speakeasy was it was an illegal bar, because alcohol was illegal at the time!. its no longer illegal, so its doubtful you will find one that still uses passwords!. the one I think of when seeing old shows on speakeasies is just "Joe sent me"

if you go to a country where its illegal to sell alcohol, Saudi Arabia i think, you could probably find one that uses passwords, but it would probably be like, "Abdul sent me"Www@FoodAQ@Com
