Should 18 year olds be legally allowed to consume alcoholic beverages?!

Question: Should 18 year olds be legally allowed to consume alcoholic beverages!?
Answers:
Yes and no!. Why you ask!? If Men and women who are experiencing their first year of being an adult are bound to do things that they couldn't do legally when they were a minor (stay out as late as they can, vote, etc)!. If the law was reduced to the age of eighteen, these adults would go buy a drink as soon as they can!. If the ones who drink own a car, they might not be responsible enough, and would drink while they are inebriated!. Which will spike up the number of injury and fatality rates of vehicular accidents!.

However, this doesn't mean that everyone is like that!. We shouldn't generalize that every one would do that, so maybe if we lowered the age to eighteen, we should make something that would be like a drivers license until the age of 21; if you are to drink at that age, at least have a license to show you are responsible to drink under 21!. The one who is supplying the alcohol would then record that number of the license to a database that would regulate the users!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. People need to stop making the argument about 18 year olds going to war but not being able to drink!. Maybe the law should change to only those who are under 21 and in the military can drink!. Would you then run out and join the military!? If you say yes, that shows a very high level of immaturity, and that is why the legal age should stay 21!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah i agree with if we can join the military why not be able to drink we can vote and all that too!.!.!. plus if we get it out of outr systems now then well when we get to be 21 it would be out of our system and maybe want to grow up!.!.!.!. but are the few people who are just idiots!.!.!. i dotn think we should sell alcohol to 18 year old idiots maybe the ones with some sense but there is no way of knowing that!.!.!. so maybe maybe not!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i've never heard a convincing argument for why they shouldn't, but the handful of "anti" arguments i hear are always exactly the same, trite, unoriginal, unreasoned nonsense, parroted like bleating sheepWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes and No!.
Yes because if they are responsible enough then they should be able to drink and not have the temptation to drink!.
No because many 18 year olds abuse drinking and cause accidents and ruin their body!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

YES; Especially, since they can go to war, buy cigarrettes, get married, be convicted as an adult, move out, etc!.

YOU'RE LEGALLY AN ADULT SO WHY THE HECK NOT!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course!. I was consuming alcohol when I was 14 anyway!. Legalities make no difference to most teenagers these days, might as well make it official and avoid all the ASBOs!. :pWww@FoodAQ@Com

Well I think we have enough problems with drunk drivers BUT, you are considered an adult when you turn 18 so I think it should be allowed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you can die for your country, get tattoos, get married, smoke, why the hell cant you drink!.!.!.i think its rediculous to make it 21 and upWww@FoodAQ@Com

I remember when I was 19 (1974) my state lowered the legal age to 18 and there were allot of fights in and around the bars near some universities!. The police did not like that idea!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The answer I have to this is, my binge drinking stopped the day I turned 21, too bad it couldn't happen sooner!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, the can marry, join war, have sex, have a child and drive at 18 then drinking is totally fine!
