Question for beer connoisseurs about aging?!

Question: Question for beer connoisseurs about aging!?
I bought a bottle of Rogue Brewery's "Brewer's Ale", with the intent to let it age a while!. However, I was reading about it online and I noticed it's only 9% ABV!. Reviewers have mentioned it having a "hoppy" flavor, which makes me wonder if an ale like this will age well!.

Can you tell me if you think this ale will age well, and how long at the most should it be aged!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Beers of a higher specific gravity and alcohol will age!. As in the article a beer will age well if it has a dosage of yeast in it!. This is because the yeast utilizes certain harsh compounds such as diacetyl in its processes!. The yeast will remain active until its food source is very low or depleted!. There does exists other very subtle changes in an aged beers' flavor over time as well!.

Best bet is to go ahead and aged it!. But I recommend that you have one now and take tasting notes!. This way you can compare notes in 2 or 3 years when you drink the aged version(s)!. In fact by aging 2 or more you can have a tasting every few years while comparing notes each time!. This is what I do!.
Enjoy!.!.!.

Yes it should (if it has a cork it's even better)
But if I remember correctly, Rouge does not use corks!.
Even though, it should age well up to 2 years!.

I would however recommend a Belgium,
or this one!.

As long as the ABV is above 8% you will could obtain positive result by aging the beer!.

As for how long, it is tough to say!. It is basically personal choice through trial and error!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Only beers that are bottle conditioned will benefit from aging, I couldn't find the "Brewers Ale" on their web site, so I can't tell you if it is bottle conditioned or not!. Why save it!? I'd drink it now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
